It was Neal Tomlinson's generosity that helped make VegasTennis.com's Marty Hennessy Jr. Tennis Foundation a non profit 501 (c) 3 organization officially 8 years ago. From the beginning Neal had a desire and passion to help children in need. Both he and his wife Nicole put themselves through college working side jobs and understand what it takes to become successful. Neal joined the army and eventually put himself through law school. Nicole worked at a local casino to put herself through UNLV, and then earned her real estate license. The two share their success by mentoring children in the Marty Hennessy Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.

Just recently Neal gave a "Leadership breakfast" and "Leadership dinner" with children in the foundations tennis and education program. Neal was one of the participants that attended a United States Tennis Association training program that teaches coaches, volunteers, board members and parents how to coach tennis to beginners. He has been coaching two young boys from his Big Brothers commitment and is now motivated to do more.
Neal hits and mentors Foundation graduate Edgardo Ureta as well. Edgardo, who is on scholarship at Hartford University, was given the "student of the year award" only awarded to one child per class at Hartford. Edgardo treasures his time with Neal playing tennis when he is back in town on college break.
"I get to learn so much from him, he motivates me to be a smarter person," explained Ureta. "I am excited to shadow him at work as well."

Ureta is part of the foundations internship program where he interns for Ryan Wolfington at the USTA and helps with foundation programs and projects. All the children in the foundation in high school have to earn their way and the "internship" is the prized position for those who work hard for it.
"People like Stan Tomchin, Neal Tomlinson and countless members who get personally involved are why our foundation exists and is so successful," explained Ryan Wolfington. "Without Neal, his wife and so many others we would not be able to change a child's life like we have for Frideric and 35 others now in college on scholarship."

Neal is a partner at Snell & Wilmer and his wife Nicole owns her own Real estate firm. Both have been Stirling Club members and residents for over 8 years.
