By Mary Maragos The Intermountain Section of the USTA held the Super Senior Sectional Championships at the Darling Tennis Center, March 19-21, 2010. Four teams from the USTA-Nevada represented the Nevada District. The teams were: Women's 7.0- CSGV, Captain Carol Rapp, Women's 8.0- Spanish Trail, Captain, Jackie Rinaldi, Men's 7.0- McDonald Ranch, Captain, Jim Sparrow and Men's 8.0- Spanish Trail, Captains, Dennis Stein and Fred Aguilar . The Men's 8.0 team from Spanish Trail went undefeated throughout the Championship and will advance on to the USTA Super Senior National Championships to be held in Surprise, AZ, April 23-25, 2010. "Dan Knight, Hans and Danny have always created a great environment for teams and captains and Spanish Trail," said Ryan Wolfington USTA-Nevada's Executive Director. "Dennis and Fred have been incredible long standing captains and they deserve this success." |
