The conclusion of the Australian Open took a dramatic turn for Alexander Zverev, transforming the trophy ceremony into a deeply personal moment.

As Zverev approached the microphone, a fan from the stands began shouting the names of his former girlfriends, who have made serious allegations against him, creating an electric atmosphere in Rod Laver Arena.

In an impressive display, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner secured his title defense by defeating Zverev with scores of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3, extending his remarkable winning streak to 21 matches.

Shortly after the victory, a woman in the audience voiced, “Australia believes [them]!” alongside the names of Zverev’s ex-girlfriends.

Taking a moment to gather himself, Zverev simply responded, “Wow,” while waiting for the disruptive chants to subside.

The world No. 2 then gracefully expressed his respect for Sinner as he delivered his runner-up speech.

In the post-match press conference, Zverev addressed the outburst, noting, “I think she was the only one in the stadium who believed anything in that moment.”

“It’s been what, nine months with no new accusations? That’s good for her,” he added, firmly stating, “I’ve done everything I can and I’m not revisiting that topic.”
