Krejcikova’s Absence: A Loss for the BNP Paribas Open
The two-time Grand Slam champion is currently ranked No. 16 in the world and has not competed since her semifinal exit at the WTA Finals last November, hampered by this ongoing back issue.

This announcement comes on the heels of former world No. 1 Venus Williams also deciding against accepting a wild card for the main draw at BNP Paribas Open.
