Victoria Mboko of Canada has announced her withdrawal from the National Bank Open presented by Rogers due to a knee injury.

The 2025 tournament champion has not seen competitive play since an unfortunate fall at the HSBC Championships last month.

Ranked No. 10 in the world and hailing from Burlington, Ont., Mboko sustained damage to the medial collateral ligament in her left knee.

This injury has compelled her to miss the remainder of the grass-court season, including Wimbledon, and now portions of the North American hardcourt circuit.

In a statement from Tennis Canada, Mboko expressed her profound disappointment at being unable to compete in her hometown tournament.

The NBO Toronto event is scheduled to take place from August 2-13 at Sobeys Stadium.
