Victoria Mboko is set to join forces with a tennis icon.

The promising young talent from Canada has announced her partnership with Serena Williams for doubles, revealing the exciting news on Instagram this Thursday.

“The queen is back! It’s an incredible honor to share the court with one of the greatest athletes of all time this week. I can’t wait to play doubles together—tennis is truly magical,” Mboko shared.

Williams, a legendary 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, last played at the 2022 U.S. Open.

The American trailblazer returned to the drug-testing pool last year, fueling speculation about a comeback, which she officially confirmed earlier this week.

19-year-old Mboko, hailing from Burlington, Ontario, was questioned about the prospect of teaming up with the 44-year-old Williams after her successful second-round singles match at the French Open.

“I want to let this moment be for her,” Mboko expressed, as reported by AFP.

“If she feels ready to return on her own terms, it’s really her decision to announce that.

“Aside from that, I don’t have much else to add. The moment truly belongs to her, and whenever she’s ready to come back, that’s all that matters.”

The dynamic duo will kick off their doubles journey at Queen’s Club, a prestigious grass-court tournament in London, with potential appearances lined up for Wimbledon and the U.S. Open thereafter.
