The tennis world is buzzing with anticipation for the fourth installment of the United Cup—a pioneering mixed-team event that will electrify audiences in Perth and Sydney from January 2 to January 11, 2026.

Today marked the official draw, where eighteen countries were strategically placed into six groups of three teams.

Celebrated tennis personalities Wally Masur and Jelena Dokic hosted the draw, alongside Casey Dellacqua and Matt Ebden at Perth’s RAC Arena.

Perth

The defending champions, Team USA, alongside the top seeds, will headline Group A as they make their return to Perth in 2026. Led by World No. 3 Coco Gauff and No. 6 ranked Taylor Fritz, USA is set to compete against Spain and Argentina in the group stage.

In Group C, third seeds Team Italy, helmed by World No. 8 and two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini alongside rising star Flavio Cobolli, will clash with Team France and Team Switzerland’s duo of Stan Wawrinka and World No. 11 Belinda Bencic.

Group E will feature the dynamic Team Great Britain, showcasing new talents like World No. 10 Jack Draper and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu. They will go up against Team Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari, as well as debutants Team Japan, led by four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka and 2019 Junior Wimbledon champion Shintaro Mochizuki.

Sydney

In Sydney, World No. 5 Felix Auger-Aliassime and the promising Victoria Mboko will lead Group B as the No. 2 seeds. They will face off against Team Belgium and Team China.

Group D will showcase Team Australia, with World No. 7 Alex de Minaur and the nation’s top-ranked woman, World No. 32 Maya Joint, as they compete with Team Czechia and Casper Ruud’s Team Norway.

The spotlight will also be on Group F, where United Cup 2024 champions Team Germany, led by World No. 3 Alexander Zverev and newcomer Eva Lys, will challenge Poland’s World No. 2 Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz, alongside Team Netherlands.

United Cup Tournament Director Stephen Farrow expressed excitement over the upcoming event, emphasizing its importance for the sport.

“We take immense pride in what this tournament symbolizes—celebrating the diverse talents in both men’s and women’s tennis,” Farrow stated. “Competing for national pride while also contending for significant ranking points and prize money adds a unique layer to this competition, making it truly special.”

“Fans can anticipate an intense atmosphere with thrilling matches featuring top-tier players eager to claim victory in Perth and Sydney,” he added.

Western Australian Tourism Minister the Hon. Reece Whitby MLA shared his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to host such a remarkable lineup of tennis teams in Western Australia. Welcoming Team USA and Team Italy promises thrilling matches and an incredible year of major events for our State.”

“The United Cup enhances WA’s reputation as a premier sporting destination, showcasing our vibrant capital during the beautiful summer months,” he continued.

NSW Minister for Sport and Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper remarked, “As the venue for the tournament’s most riveting matches, the United Cup is one of the highlights of Sydney’s summer sports calendar, allowing fans to see the world’s finest compete for their nations.”

“The energetic atmosphere of Ken Rosewall Arena, fueled by passionate fans from around the world, promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience, reinforcing Sydney’s stature in the realm of international sports.”

Stay tuned for the official tournament schedule to be released tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18. Group stage tickets will go on sale at 12:00 PM local time on Wednesday, November 19, in both Perth and Sydney, with adult tickets starting at just $40 and children’s tickets available from $20 for ages 3-12.
