Excitement is building as the draw for the 2025 Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters has officially been announced, unveiling a competitive field of 56 players ready to compete in this prestigious tournament.
The top-seed Alexander Zverev will enjoy a first-round bye but may encounter a tough battle against either Italy’s Matteo Berrettini or a qualifier in his opening match. Likewise, Carlos Alcaraz is set to potentially face off against Francisco Cerundolo, who is up against wildcard entry Fabio Fognini.
Looking to add to his legacy, three-time defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas will kick off his quest for a fourth title with a match against either Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard or Jordan Thompson. The Greek sensation occupies the top quarter of the draw, with the possibility of a round of 16 clash against Holger Rune, and a quarterfinal showdown with Zverev looming large.
Jakub Mensik, fresh from his breakthrough at the Miami Open, will not grace the courts of Monte-Carlo this year, as he didn’t qualify following his pre-cutoff ranking. Instead, he’ll set his sights on the clay season in Munich the following week (April 14-20).
