With a remarkable career that includes 15 ATP titles and a peak ranking of World No.4, Henman is celebrated as one of Britain’s finest tennis talent. Notably known for his serve-and-volley technique and steady performances on the famed grass courts of Wimbledon, he continues to be a respected personality in the tennis community.

Post-retirement, he has made a name for himself as a leading commentator and analyst in the sport.

Henman steps in as Vice Captain at the invitation of Team Europe Captain Yannick Noah, filling the role previously held by Sweden’s Thomas Enqvist, who has contributed since the event’s inception in 2017 in Prague.

“It’s an absolute honor to join Team Europe as Vice Captain,” exclaimed Henman. “As a pundit, I’ve witnessed the intensity, quality, and the sheer passion shared among players on the bench during the Laver Cup, making it a truly special occasion.”

“Being asked by Yannick to participate in this elite competition is an incredible privilege, and I cannot wait to collaborate with him and our team to uphold Europe’s winning legacy.”

Noah, making his debut as Captain this year, is thrilled to have Henman on board.

“Tim’s extensive experience and fervor for the game will be an invaluable asset to our team,” stated Noah. “He has always showcased fierce competitiveness and remarkable leadership both on and off the court. I’m excited to have him alongside me as we aim to defend our title in San Francisco this September.”

The 2025 Laver Cup heralds a new era in leadership for both teams, with Noah and Henman facing off against the formidable duo of eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi and newly appointed Team World Vice Captain, Australian Pat Rafter.
