During her second-round clash against Karolina Muchova in Dubai, British sensation Emma Raducanu momentarily broke down in tears. The match was interrupted after just two games, as Raducanu approached the umpire, seeking solace behind the chair away from the court’s spotlight.
In a surprising turn, it was Muchova who stepped in to comfort the 22-year-old World No.61 before play resumed. Delving deeper into the match, Raducanu rallied impressively from a 4-0 deficit, pushing for a first-set tiebreak before ultimately losing the match 7-6(6), 6-4 after two intense hours and seven minutes.
Below, you can catch a glimpse of Raducanu’s emotional interlude following the second game:

Muchova now advances to face a surprising challenger, American McCartney Kessler.
Kessler’s Upset of Gauff
Kessler’s impressive week in Dubai continued as she achieved her first Top-10 victory, defeating 2023 US Open champion Coco Gauff with scores of 6-4, 7-5. Earlier this season, the former University of Florida star celebrated her second career title at Hobart, marking her debut in the Top-50 rankings.
In Dubai, Kessler has showcased her talent with back-to-back wins against Top-20 players, including a dominant performance against Doha champion Amanda Anisimova (ranked No.18), where she triumphed 6-3, 6-2 in the opening round.
