In the day’s opening semi-final, Sinner faced off against Fils, confidently commanding the match from the outset. Despite Fils’ spirited resistance in the second set, Sinner answered back with brilliance, culminating in a mesmerizing 24-shot rally that secured a critical break.

Ultimately, the World No. 1 wrapped up the match in just 86 minutes with a score of 6-2, 6-4. This victory etched Sinner’s name in history as the youngest player to reach the final at all nine Masters 1000 events, joining the elite ranks of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. The 24-year-old is set for a showdown against Alexander Zverev in the championship clash.

Meanwhile, in the second semi-final, Alexander Zverev also cruised to victory, defeating Alexander Blockx with a scoreline of 6-2, 7-5. The 29-year-old electrified the crowd with his thrilling gameplay, notably delivering a breathtaking smash in the opening set.

With this win, Zverev celebrated his 30th victory in Madrid, taking just an hour and 35 minutes to do so. This achievement places him alongside legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as one of only three men to reach the finals in Madrid on at least four occasions.
