MADRID — Top-seeded Jannik Sinner has soared to a remarkable 22-match winning streak, defeating Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-4 to secure his spot in the Madrid Open final on Friday.

This victory marks Sinner’s 350th career win, making him the first player born in the 2000s to achieve this impressive feat.

“I’m thrilled with my overall performance today. I strive to play my best tennis, and today was an excellent day at the office,” Sinner remarked during his on-court interview, noting he faced no break points in the semifinal match.

Aiming to be the first man to clinch five consecutive Masters 1000 titles, Sinner will clash with either third-ranked Alexander Zverev or Belgium’s Alexander Blockx in the final on Sunday.

With this win, Sinner joins an exclusive circle as the fourth and youngest player to reach the final at all nine Masters 1000 events, following in the footsteps of legends Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal.

The world No. 1 broke Fils’ serve twice in the opening set, facing pressure at 30-30 in the sixth game of the second set before responding with two swift aces to level it at 3-3.

Securing a crucial break with a precise backhand down the line, Sinner moved ahead 5-4 before serving out the match against his French opponent.

His impressive winning streak includes titles from Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo.

In women’s competition, Mirra Andreeva is set to face Marta Kostyuk in Saturday’s final.
