Sinner extended his exceptional winning streak at ATP Masters 1000 events to an impressive 25 matches, overpowering Cameron Norrie with a score of 6-2, 7-5. The Italian maestro has his sights set on making history by becoming the first player to secure five consecutive Masters 1000 titles, having triumphed in Paris, Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte-Carlo.

Jodar, on the other hand, celebrated his 12th victory in the last 13 matches with a smooth win against Czech player Vit Kopriva. At just 19 years old, the young Spaniard has made history as the third Spanish teenager to reach the Madrid quarter-finals, joining the ranks of legends like Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz. This will be his first quarter-final appearance at this prestigious level, where he will meet Sinner.

In a nail-biting finish, Ruud fought back from the brink of elimination, saving two match points against Tsitsipas. The defending champion showcased his resilience by winning the third-set tie-break, eager to add to his collection of 10 clay-court tour-level titles in the Spanish capital.

In other exciting matches, Flavio Cobolli powered through to the quarter-finals, edging out seventh seed Daniil Medvedev with scores of 6-3, 5-7, 6-4. He now prepares to face either Alexander Zverev or Flavio Cobolli next.

Arthur Fils continues to shine brightly, advancing to the quarter-finals in Madrid with a convincing win of 6-3, 6-4 over Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The young French sensation, who captured the title in Barcelona earlier this month, will meet Jiri Lehecka next. Lehecka progressed by overcoming last year’s Madrid semi-finalist, Lorenzo Musetti, and is just two wins away from replicating his Miami final run.

Alexander Blockx made headlines by reaching the quarter-finals at a Masters 1000 event for the first time, claiming a significant victory over Francisco Cerundolo. The 21-year-old has become the youngest Belgian quarter-finalist in the series’ history, making a remarkable save on a first-set point against the Argentine.
