Under the dazzling lights of La Défense Arena, tennis stars Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime gear up for a monumental showdown for the Rolex Paris Masters title this Sunday.

For Sinner, a victory would not only secure his first Paris title but also see him reclaim the No. 1 spot in the PIF ATP Rankings from his rival, Carlos Alcaraz. On the other hand, Auger-Aliassime, currently ranked eighth in the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin, can clinch a spot in the coveted Nitto ATP Finals with a win. Their championship encounter is scheduled for no earlier than 3 p.m. CET/9 a.m. ET.

With their Lexus ATP Head2Head locked at 2-2, Sinner heads into the match with momentum after triumphing in both Cincinnati and the US Open this year. Their semi-final duel in New York was a gripping four-set thriller, where Auger-Aliassime came close to seizing control before Sinner showcased his resilience.

“At one point, I sensed doubt in him and almost turned the match around,” Auger-Aliassime reflected on that contest. “It’s encouraging to see that these top players aren’t invincible. There are always openings.”

Such insights will fuel Auger-Aliassime’s confidence as he prepares for Sunday’s clash, knowing that he can challenge even the toughest competitors.

To disrupt Sinner’s flow, Auger-Aliassime will need to deploy his entire tactical range. Indoor conditions have seen Sinner thrive with a stunning 25-match winning streak stretching back to the 2023 Davis Cup Finals, making him a formidable presence on these quick surfaces.

For Auger-Aliassime, success lies in his ability to strategically alter the pace using topspin, slices, and his net prowess to abbreviate rallies. Historically, he has excelled indoors, boasting a remarkable 82 tour-leading indoor wins this decade according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.

2025 has been a banner season for Auger-Aliassime, who has reclaimed his spark with three ATP Tour titles and a return to the Top 10 for the first time since 2023. His path to the ATP Masters 1000 final has demonstrated sheer grit, fighting back from a set down in his opening three matches and capitalizing on Lorenzo Musetti’s exit to advance towards Turin.

“He’s playing incredible tennis right now and has significantly improved,” Sinner noted of Auger-Aliassime. “He’s regained his form over the last few months, and I’m excited for tomorrow’s showdown. It’s a fantastic occasion for us both. Felix is one of the finest personalities on tour, and it will be an intense match.”

Tune in for the thrilling Paris final featuring Sinner & Auger-Aliassime:

On the flip side, Sinner has shown remarkable consistency throughout 2025, reaching the finals in nine of the 11 tournaments he’s played. However, it hasn’t come without heartache. His loss in the Roland Garros final against Alcaraz—during which he squandered three championship points—cast a shadow, as did losing his position as World No. 1 following their US Open clash.

Yet, each setback has strengthened his resolve. In Paris, Sinner has been near-perfect, surrendering only 19 games across four matches, positioning him just one win away from capturing a fifth ATP Masters 1000 title and potentially reclaiming the World No. 1 ranking.

As the Paris crowd anticipates the inaugural final at the tournament’s new home, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Sinner aims to assert his dominance, while Auger-Aliassime seeks to remind the tennis world of his prowess.
