Top seeds have clinched their spots in the semifinals of the Transylvania Open.
In a thrilling match, the top seed Anastasia Potapova triumphed over German qualifier Ella Seidel with a score of 6-2, 6-3, advancing to her second semifinal in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Currently ranked World No. 32, Potapova has improved her season record to 8-3 and will face lucky loser Aliaksandra Sasnovich for a chance to be in Sunday’s final.
Sasnovich pulled off a hard-fought victory against Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, winning 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(3). Kalinina served for the match at 5-4 but couldn’t seal the deal.
In the doubles scene, world No. 1 Katerina Siniakova overcame Viktoriya Tomova with a scoreline of 6-3, 7-6(7) after salvaging three set points in a nail-biting tiebreaker before finally clinching the match on her fifth attempt.
Siniakova is on the hunt for her sixth career singles title and will clash with Lucia Bronzetti for a place in the final.
In an intense all-Italian duel, Bronzetti triumphed over Elisabetta Cocciaretto with a convincing score of 6-1, 6-4.
