Anastasia Potapova is just one step away from claiming the Transylvania title, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Making her debut as the top-seed, Potapova triumphed over lucky loser Aliaksandra Sasnovich with a score of 6-3, 7-5, propelling her into the finals at Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Currently ranked World No. 32, Potapova boasts an impressive season record of 9-3.
The 23-year-old will face off against the 72nd-ranked Italian Lucia Bronzetti in the final on Sunday. Bronzetti earned her spot after leading fifth-seed Katerina Siniakova 4-0 when the doubles No. 1 had to retire in the second semifinal.
Potapova holds a perfect 4-0 record against Bronzetti and is vying for her third career title, looking to secure her first hard-court championship since her victory in 2023 at Linz.
This marks Bronzetti’s fourth final on the Tour. She aims to capture her second career title, her first since her win in 2023 at Rabat.
