Matteo Berrettini is eager to kick off the 2025 Asian swing.
After a break of nearly 2.5 months due to injury, the former No. 6 in the PIF ATP Rankings announced on Wednesday his participation in the upcoming Lynk & Co Hangzhou Open, a hard-court ATP 250 event starting on September 17.
“Final prep ✅ Can’t wait to see you in Hangzhou! 🇨🇳 🔨🤼♂️”, Berrettini shared on Instagram, showcasing a training video from the court.

In the 2025 season, Berrettini holds a record of 13-11, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, which includes notable victories over Novak Djokovic in Doha and Alexander Zverev in Monte-Carlo. His last competitive match was a gripping five-set loss to Kamil Majchrzak in the first round at Wimbledon, after which he missed the entire North American hard-court season due to injury.
Joining him in the Hangzhou draw will be fellow former Top 10 stars Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, alongside local favorite Wu Yibing and the in-form Alexander Bublik. Marin Cilic enters the tournament as the defending champion.
