MELBOURNE, Australia — In a triumphant return to the spotlight, Australian Open women’s champion Madison Keys celebrated her career-high ranking on Monday. She’s among a dynamic quartet of American women now captivating the WTA top 10, while the men’s champion Jannik Sinner continues to reign supreme at the top of the ATP standings.

Keys secured her maiden Grand Slam title with a thrilling three-set showdown against the world’s top player, Aryna Sabalenka, this past Saturday. This stunning victory catapulted her from No. 14 to an impressive No. 7, equalling her personal best.

Joining Keys in the elite women’s top 10 are her fellow countrywomen: Coco Gauff at No. 3, Jessica Pegula at No. 6, and Emma Navarro, who slipped one position to No. 9.

Despite her loss to Keys in an electrifying semifinal, Sabalenka continues to hold the top spot, while Iga Swiatek remains steadfast at No. 2.

Olympic gold medalist Zheng Qinwen fell three spots to No. 8, while former No. 2 Paola Badosa climbed two positions to complete the top 10 following her impressive semifinal performance.

Meanwhile, the men’s ranking sees a familiar face in Jannik Sinner at No. 1, a title he has maintained since June. Sinner outplayed Alexander Zverev in straight sets for the second consecutive time to clinch the Australian Open championship.

Carlos Alcaraz stays steady at No. 3, while Taylor Fritz holds firm at No. 4. Daniil Medvedev, however, slid two spots to No. 7 after a notably heated exit from the tournament in the second round.

Novak Djokovic, who withdrew due to a hamstring injury during the semifinals, ascended one position to No. 6, just behind Casper Ruud.

Making waves in the men’s rankings, Tommy Paul emerges as a fresh face at No. 9, achieving a career-best ranking after his impressive quarterfinal showing at Melbourne Park.
