Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk and Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina have both secured their spots in the quarterfinals of the Women’s National Bank Open in Montreal.

The talented 23-year-old Kostyuk staged an impressive comeback after dropping the first set, triumphing over McCartney Kessler from the United States with a final score of 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 at IGA Stadium.

Similarly, the 26-year-old Rybakina showcased her resilience, overcoming Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine with a nail-biting score of 5-7, 6-2, 7-5, even saving three match points during the thrilling encounter.

With Kostyuk holding the 24th seed and Rybakina at the 9th, fans can look forward to an exciting clash in the upcoming rounds.

Meanwhile, all eyes in Montreal are on an eagerly anticipated matchup featuring Canadian rising star Victoria Mboko against top seed Coco Gauff from the United States.

The 18-year-old Mboko, hailing from Toronto, is the last Canadian singles player standing in the tournament, with the match set to take place on centre court.

Currently positioned 85th in the WTA rankings, Mboko faces a formidable opponent in Gauff, who stands at No. 2.
