The 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers 2nd Round is set to unfold from September 12-14. Fourteen nations, featuring past champions like Australia, France, and Spain, will engage in seven thrilling ties across various locations worldwide.

Kick-off begins with Japan facing Germany at home in Tokyo on September 12-13, followed by additional matches, including Australia’s clash with Belgium in Sydney and Spain hosting Denmark in Marbella on September 13-14.

Understanding the Format of the Matches

The competition format consists of two singles matches on Day 1, followed by one doubles match and two singles matches on Day 2.

Among those representing their nations are current No. 5 in the PIF ATP Rankings, Taylor Fritz (USA), Alex de Minaur (Australia), Frances Tiafoe (USA), Holger Rune (Denmark), emerging talent Jakub Mensik (Czechia), and Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina). These athletes are set to spark excitement in the sport’s most prestigious team competition.

It All Adds Up

The weekend’s victors, along with Italy, the reigning champions, will advance to compete at the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, Italy, scheduled for November 18-23.

In conjunction with these seven matches, a total of 13 World Group I and 13 World Group II ties will also take place around the globe.
