After triumphing over 18-year-old Iva Jovic in the Round of 16, Pegula secured her spot in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon for the second time in her career, boosting her impressive 2026 record against compatriots to a flawless 8-0.

Following a setback in the first set, losing 4-6, the seasoned 32-year-old proved her worth as a top-ten player by dominating the second and third sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-1, respectively.
