In a monumental match at the Rolex Paris Masters, Jannik Sinner not only secured his fifth ATP Masters 1000 title but also marked his remarkable return to the No. 1 spot in the PIF ATP Rankings.
Displaying his trademark precision and poise, the 24-year-old Italian triumphed over a determined Felix Auger-Aliassime with a score of 6-4, 7-6(4) in the final. In doing so, Sinner became the first player since Carlos Alcaraz in Indian Wells, 2023, to win a Masters title without dropping a single set, while also extending his extraordinary indoor winning streak to 26 matches.

With his victory ensuring a return to World No. 1 on Monday, Sinner has tightened the competition for the ATP Year-End No. 1, currently sitting just 1,050 points behind Alcaraz in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin. The thrilling contest for the top spot will culminate at the Nitto ATP Finals, where Sinner is the reigning champion.
Jannik Sinner is set to reclaim his No. 1 status in the PIF ATP Rankings on Monday.
Felix Auger-Aliassime’s impressive journey to his second ATP Masters 1000 final has significantly improved his chances of qualifying for the Nitto ATP Finals. He has risen to eighth in the Live Race and holds a 160-point lead over Lorenzo Musetti, aiming to secure his spot in the upcoming ATP 250 in Metz.
Although Auger-Aliassime put up a valiant effort in the closely-fought second set, Sinner ultimately powered through an exceptionally clean tie-break to claim his fourth tour title of the season. With victories over Auger-Aliassime in Cincinnati and the US Open earlier this year, Sinner now leads their Lexus ATP Head2Head series at 3-2.
