In a thrilling encounter at the Rolex Paris Masters, Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten kept their aspirations for Year-End ATP Doubles No. 1 presented by PIF firmly in sight. The third-seeded pair showcased their prowess, defeating Quentin Halys and Pierre-Hugues Herbert with a convincing score of 6-3, 6-4.

This victory marked their first ATP Masters 1000 final as a team, with Heliovaara and Patten converting four out of eleven break points during their 69-minute match, as recorded by Infosys ATP Stats.

Currently ranked fourth in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings, the duo’s win was crucial. Had they fallen short, it would have opened the door for Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool to secure the Year-End No. 1 title in the day’s second semi-final.

In the second semi-final, Cash and Glasspool emerged victorious over Francisco Cabral and Lucas Miedler with a score of 6-4, 5-7, 10-7. If they lift the trophy on Sunday, the all-British pair will secure their spot as World No. 1. However, should Heliovaara and Patten claim victory in Paris, the Year-End No. 1 chase will extend to the Nitto ATP Finals, where both teams will compete head-to-head.

This championship match will mark the fifth tour-level encounter between Cash/Glasspool and Heliovaara/Patten, with all previous meetings taking place in 2025. Cash and Glasspool currently lead the Lexus ATP Head2Head series at 4-0, although three of their matches have reached a thrilling deciding set or Match Tie-break.
