In a thrilling start to the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos maintained their flawless record against the defending champions, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz, seizing victory with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 10-6.

Aiming for their sixth title this season, the dynamic duo improved their Lexus ATP Head2Head record to 4-0 against the German pair with this triumph.

“Starting the tournament off on the right foot is crucial,” Granollers stated. “Every match is important, every set matters. Hence, kicking off with a win was essential for us.”

Both pairs accomplished a remarkable feat, saving eight out of nine break points faced, as noted by Infosys ATP Stats. Granollers and Zeballos excelled in the decisive Match Tie-break, asserting dominance by leading 8-3 at one stage.

“We anticipated a fiercely competitive match,” Zeballos commented. “Each match feels like a final here, especially against a formidable team like theirs. One of the keys was maintaining a positive mindset at the start of the Match Tie-break. After losing the second set, we had to dig deep.”

This marks the sixth consecutive appearance for Granollers and Zeballos at the Nitto ATP Finals, where they boast an 8-11 record. They reached the finals in 2023.
