One of the ATP Tour’s standout performers indoors is far from finished at the Rolex Paris Masters.

On Saturday, Felix Auger-Aliassime continued his remarkable form in late 2025, achieving a commendable 7-6(3), 6-4 semi-final victory over Alexander Bublik in the heart of France. The ninth-seeded Canadian showcased precision and skill in his 96-minute match, securing his spot in a second ATP Masters 1000 final, while also taking over Lorenzo Musetti’s place for the final qualification slot for the Nitto ATP Finals.

“I’m ecstatic! Reaching a Masters 1000 final sounds incredible,” expressed Auger-Aliassime after securing his spot in the final for the second time, following his Madrid 2024 appearance. “Such finals are rare, and I hope to claim the title. Every match at a Masters is a challenge.

“This tournament has depth, featuring 56 players. You always feel competitive and a bit anxious to see how your skills will measure up. I have confidence in my capabilities against the world’s best, but execution is key. Today, I achieved my goals, and I’m thrilled with the outcome.”

Besides booking a final face-off against either second seed Jannik Sinner or third seed Alexander Zverev, Auger-Aliassime made a big leap in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin with this semi-final victory. The 25-year-old has now moved past Musetti into eighth place and can secure the final qualification spot at the Nitto ATP Finals by winning in France on Sunday.

If he doesn’t take home the trophy in Paris, Auger-Aliassime will head to the Moselle Open in Metz next week with a comfortable 90-point lead over Musetti, who will also be competing in ATP 250 action in Athens.

“These are the moments you prepare and strive for,” Auger-Aliassime said regarding his upcoming final against Sinner or Zverev. “It’s always exciting to play these elite players and gauge how my game stacks up. After years of training, I look forward to showcasing my abilities in front of everyone. I’ll be ready to give my all. With these opponents, staying sharp tactically and being disciplined is essential. They won’t hand you anything, so being primed for peak performance is crucial.”

In his match against Bublik, Auger-Aliassime clinched a fiercely contested first set, dominating the tie-break by winning six of the final seven points. The second set, however, saw five breaks of serve: despite Bublik’s strong start with a 4-1 lead, Auger-Aliassime rallied back with an impressive five straight games to secure victory.

Finishing the match with 31 winners—17 of which came from his formidable forehand—Auger-Aliassime proved to be an unstoppable force against Bublik, who was competing in his first Masters 1000 semi-final. Statistics show he converted three of four break points successfully, according to Infosys ATP Stats.

With his win at La Défense Arena, Auger-Aliassime improved to 4-2 in his Lexus ATP Head2Head series against Bublik and boasts an impressive 82 indoor match victories this decade.
