In a recent encounter, Matteo Berrettini halted Djokovic’s comeback with a 7-6(4), 6-2 victory in Doha, prompting the 37-year-old Serbian sensation to address his ongoing partnership with Murray that commenced last month in Australia.

.

“We’ve agreed to work together until the end of the clay season, and then we’ll reassess,” Djokovic expressed to reporters in Doha.

The dynamic duo, both Olympic champions, is poised to reunite at Indian Wells next month, although Murray was absent from the Doha event this week.

With world No. 1 Jannik Sinner currently facing a three-month suspension, Djokovic stands as a formidable contender if he can regain his form and momentum after recovering from a recent muscle tear in his left leg, which forced him to retire in the semifinals of the Australian Open.

Engaging with Murray, Djokovic highlighted his primary goal: to maintain his health and perform at his best on tennis’s grandest platforms.

“My gameplay won’t undergo drastic changes. I’m not shifting to serve-and-volley tactics, although I might employ them occasionally. My core style remains intact,” Djokovic stated. “I’m committed to adapting based on the surface I play on.”

“Injuries have certainly increased. The physical demands aren’t the same as they were 10 or 15 years ago. I strive daily to care for my body, and it’s undeniably more challenging now, but I remain dedicated to giving my absolute best regardless of the circumstances.”
