Fashion icons are stepping onto the court!
Grand Slam legends Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams have teamed up as brand ambassadors for Lacoste. These trailblazers are part of Lacoste’s vibrant new campaign, Play with Icons.
This dynamic campaign showcases Lacoste’s legendary ambassadors donning some of the brand’s timeless pieces, just in time for the exciting Roland Garros tournament kicking off on May 25th.
“Play with icons is a tribute to the timeless styles that lie at the heart of Lacoste, paired with the larger-than-life personalities who wear them,” the brand stated. “Featuring a series of striking portraits and films, the campaign highlights the unique rapport between five Lacoste ambassadors and the brand’s most iconic garments—each interpreted through an artistic lens that exudes playfulness.”
Renowned photographer Tyler Mitchell masterfully captured the essence of these superstar athletes for the campaign.
“Clad in Lacoste’s classic off-white polo, Novak Djokovic is adorned with a golden tennis net transformed into a majestic cape,” noted Lacoste regarding the Djokovic visuals. “This imagery not only honors Djokovic’s status as the GOAT but also celebrates the timeless appeal of the polo within the realms of fashion and sports.”
Four-time Olympic gold-medalist Venus Williams elegantly showcases a pleated skirt in her Lacoste campaign image.
“Pleated, powerful, and magnetic. Venus Williams emerges like a goddess from a sculptural pleated ensemble, crowned with exquisite pleats—a nod to Lacoste’s innovative craftsmanship behind this signature design,” Lacoste described. “With a pearlescent tennis ball in hand, she embodies the essence of a living legend, redefining elegance, strength, and creativity.”
The 44-year-old Venus is set to make her debut as a tennis analyst for TNT Sports’ coverage of Roland Garros. She recently graced the Met Gala in a stunning Lacoste ensemble.
