Diana Shnaider, currently ranked 12th in the world and hailing from Russia, has officially announced the hiring of tennis legend and former World No.1, Dinara Safina, as her new coach. After a brief stint with coach Igor Andreev and seeking guidance from her father Maxim, Shnaider is eager to embark on this new chapter.
The talented 21-year-old is set to showcase her skills at the Stuttgart tournament starting on April 14th, where she’ll compete on the prestigious red clay.
“I am thrilled to share that Dinara Safina will be joining my team as my coach. Over the past few months, I searched for a partnership that I believe will enhance my performance both on and off the court. Dinara is a true legend, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together,” Shnaider expressed on Instagram.
“I also want to take a moment to thank my dad, who has been an invaluable coach during my search for a new partnership. My family, especially my parents and little brother, are my greatest supporters, and I deeply appreciate their love and encouragement. Dinara and I are ready to take on the challenges ahead on the red clay!”
