On a triumphant Monday in New York, Carlos Alcaraz basked in the glory of his latest achievement.
The Spanish sensation, fresh off securing his sixth Grand Slam title at the US Open, participated in a rooftop photoshoot overlooking the breathtaking Manhattan skyline to commemorate his second victory at Flushing Meadows.
At just 22, Alcaraz has etched his name in history, becoming one of only three men in the Open Era to secure six Slam titles before the age of 23, joining tennis legends Bjorn Borg and Rafael Nadal. He accomplished this remarkable feat by overcoming his fierce rival, Jannik Sinner, with a 10-5 advantage in their Lexus ATP Head2Head.
Tennis enthusiasts had long hoped for a showdown between Alcaraz and Sinner at Arthur Ashe Stadium, and their wishes were granted. This most recent clash marked their third consecutive major final, following Alcaraz’s triumph at Roland Garros and Sinner’s revenge at Wimbledon.

During his appearance on NBC’s TODAY show, alongside US Open women’s singles champion Aryna Sabalenka, Alcaraz shared insights about his rivalry with Sinner.
“It’s fantastic for me,” Alcaraz stated, emphasizing how competing against Sinner fuels his growth. “We push each other to our limits every time. My training sessions are centered around how I can get better to surpass Jannik. I believe our rivalry is special; we’re sharing Grand Slams and striving for greatness.”
With his latest victory, Alcaraz reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the PIF ATP Rankings from Sinner. The new World No. 1 boasts an impressive 61-6 record this season, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, and aims to maintain this momentum as the season draws to a close.
This season, having secured seven titles, Alcaraz is well-positioned to claim the prestigious ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF honors for the second time, following his success in 2022.
