Lois Boisson gracefully countered a jab from Harriet Dart with her signature wit.
The French star utilized her humor—and a touch of Photoshop—to retaliate against Dart’s unusual request during a match in Rouen, where the Brit surprisingly asked the chair umpire to tell Boisson to apply deodorant due to an alleged unpleasant odor during a changeover.
In a cheeky twist, Boisson took to her Instagram Stories today, sharing a cleverly edited image of herself preparing to serve while holding a Dove deodorant.
She captioned the post with “Dove apparently needs a collab,” complete with a couple of laughter emojis, turning the awkward moment into an amusing exchange.
After suffering a 6-0, 6-3 defeat to the French wild card, Dart’s frustration bubbled over, prompting the quirky request that caught the tennis world off guard.
Check out this bizarre moment as Dart addresses her opponent’s supposed body odor:

“Can you tell her to wear some deodorant because the smell is really bad,” Dart stated to the chair umpire during the changeover.
Following her loss, Dart took to social media to apologize for her comments.
“It was a comment made in the heat of the moment, and I genuinely regret it,” Dart expressed. “That’s not how I want to conduct myself, and I take full responsibility.”
“I deeply respect Lois and admire the way she competed today. I’ll learn from this experience and move forward.”
