Felix Auger-Aliassime from Canada has made his way to the finals of the European Open!
The talented player from Montreal triumphed over Belgium’s Raphael Collignon with a score of 7-6 (2), 6-4 in the semifinal match of this exciting tennis tournament.
Auger-Aliassime showcased his powerful serve with eight aces and only one double fault, winning an impressive 78% of his first-serve points.
In a match that lasted one hour and 45 minutes, he also capitalized on one of his three break-point opportunities.
Although Collignon managed to hit five aces, he struggled with four double faults and was unable to seize any break-point chances during the match.
Looking ahead, the second-seeded Auger-Aliassime is set to face third-seeded Jiri Lehecka from Czechia in the final on Sunday.
