Top-seeded Aryna Sabalenka is set to face off against former Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in an electrifying “Battle of the Sexes” exhibition match in Dubai on December 28.

The thrilling matchup was confirmed by Sabalenka during the U.S. Open, and both competitors shared the exciting details on their social media platforms on Tuesday.

The event will take place indoors at the impressive 17,000-seat Coca-Cola Arena.

Kyrgios mentioned he will only have one serve this year and will aim for a smaller section of the court. Despite limited play due to injuries in recent years, the Australian is confident he can secure an easy victory.

In addition, both athletes will participate in another exhibition in New York on December 8, where Sabalenka will compete against Naomi Osaka and Kyrgios will take on Tommy Paul.

“I can’t wait to hit the court again,” Kyrgios shared on an Instagram story. “Honestly, I’m feeling fantastic. I never imagined I would be back in this situation, traveling the globe, connecting with fans, and playing incredible tennis.”

The exhibit borrows its name from the iconic 1973 match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, in which King triumphed in straight sets at the Houston Astrodome.

Sabalenka is a proud four-time Grand Slam champion.

Kyrgios, on the other hand, was the runner-up at the 2022 Wimbledon final, where he faced Novak Djokovic.
