Familiar with the competition, the locals have embraced the excitement that comes with hosting the Nitto ATP Finals since 2021. This year, the air is thick with anticipation, especially as Jannik Sinner, the top seed and defending champion, vies for the coveted title. He finds himself in an exhilarating race against Carlos Alcaraz for the ATP Year-End No. 1 spot presented by PIF.
After capturing moments for the official photo on the blue carpet, the players proceeded to the Teatro Regio (Royal Theatre), where they engaged in a ‘Meet the Champions’ Q&A session with both local and international media.
As the battles are set to begin at the Inalpi Arena on Sunday, seven-time Nitto ATP Finals champion Novak Djokovic will also be part of the action in Turin. He faces Lorenzo Musetti in an ATP 250 final in Athens on Saturday; if Musetti wins, he’ll join Sinner in the eight-man roster. On the other hand, a victory for Djokovic will secure Felix Auger-Aliassime the last coveted position.
