Last August, the couple celebrated an unforgettable evening, which Tsitsipas called “one of the coolest date nights I could have asked for,” as they triumphed in the first-ever US Open Mixed Madness exhibition. They faced off against formidable opponents including Naomi Osaka, Nick Kyrgios, Amanda Anisimova, Taylor Fritz, Coco Gauff, and Ben Shelton, all for a lucrative $250,000 prize pot.
In a thrilling turn of events, the dynamic duo of Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori claimed the 2024 US Open Mixed Doubles title by defeating Taylor Townsend and Donald Young.
Earlier this month, the USTA unveiled exciting modifications to the Mixed Doubles format for the 2025 US Open, allowing the entire tournament to be held during the qualifying week, just before the main event kicks off.
Tsitsipas eagerly shared his plans, confirming that he and Badosa are all set for the 2025 US Open Mixed Doubles. “We’re planning to play. She’s the mixed doubles partner I would always choose,” he expressed during media interactions in Dubai. “There’s no one else I can envision playing with in mixed doubles.”
“She’s always my top choice and the player I would love to share the court with.”
