November 26, 2025
At just 19, Learner Tien is making waves as he returns to the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF. His incredible first full season on the ATP Tour has earned him this opportunity.
The talented left-hander capped off last year with a remarkable run, finishing as the runner-up in Jeddah. He built on that momentum at the Australian Open, where he clinched a memorable victory over Top 10 sensation Daniil Medvedev, becoming the youngest player to reach the fourth round at this prestigious event since Rafael Nadal in 2005.
In Acapulco, Tien took the ATP 500 stage by storm, delivering a stunning upset against Alexander Zverev on his way to the quarter-finals. He further solidified his position by reaching the fourth round in ATP Masters 1000 tournaments held in Toronto and Shanghai.
This month, Tien’s crowning achievement came at the ATP 250 event in Metz, where he celebrated his inaugural tour-level title by defeating Cameron Norrie in the finals. Additionally, he made headlines at the ATP 500 event in Beijing, battling through the draw to reach the championship match, eliminating both Lorenzo Musetti and Medvedev along the way. Holding a commendable 5-4 record against Top 10 players, Tien has skyrocketed to a career-best No. 28 in the PIF ATP Rankings, a remarkable leap from outside the Top 120 at the start of the year.
Mark your calendars! The 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF will unfold from December 17 to 21. Notable past champions include Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
