Iga Swiatek’s inaugural Wimbledon title was nothing short of spectacular, as the world No. 4 effortlessly triumphed over American Amanda Anisimova.

At just 24 years old, Swiatek dominated the match with a stunning 6-0, 6-0 score, claiming her first Grand Slam title since last year’s French Open. This victory also marked her as the first Polish player to secure the Wimbledon title in the Open Era.

Here are some remarkable statistics and milestones from Swiatek’s historic win at Wimbledon.

A historic double-bagel victory

Swiatek is the first player in the Open Era to clinch the Wimbledon women’s singles final with a score of 6-0, 6-0. She is only the second player to achieve a Grand Slam final with double bagels, following Steffi Graf’s victory over Natasha Zvereva at the 1988 French Open.

The match lasted just 57 minutes, making it the fastest Wimbledon final since Petra Kvitova’s win over Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard in 2014.

Moreover, Swiatek became the first woman to start a Wimbledon final with a first-set bagel since 1983, when Martina Navratilova defeated Andrea Jaeger with a score of 6-0, 6-3.

A milestone achievement for Swiatek

The Polish sensation is only the second player in the Open Era to achieve 100 Grand Slam wins in a final, a feat previously accomplished solely by Andy Murray in 2012 against Novak Djokovic.

Swiatek also stands as the fifth-youngest woman in the Open Era to secure Grand Slam titles across all three surfaces, joining legends like Graf (the youngest), Serena Williams, Hana Mandlikova, and Chris Evert.

Unmatched dominance in Grand Slam finals

Swiatek is only the second woman in the Open Era to win her first six Grand Slam finals, alongside former world No. 1 Monica Seles.

Throughout the tournament, Swiatek allowed only 35 games against her, the fewest by any woman since 1990.

Since her Grand Slam debut in 2019, Swiatek boasts an impressive record of 100 wins to just 20 losses.
