The lineup for the Canadian team heading to the Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers is officially announced!

Representing Canada from April 11-13 in Tokyo are Vancouver’s own Rebecca Marino, Marina Stakusic from Mississauga, Ont., Toronto’s rising star Victoria Mboko, Kayla Cross hailing from London, Ont., and Ariana Arseneault of Richmond Hill, Ont.

Notably, Mboko, Cross, and Arseneault are making their debut selections for this prestigious event, while Marino returns for her 13th appearance—having been a crucial part of Canada’s championship team in 2023, she carries a 7-10 record in the competition.

This marks Stakusic’s third journey at the Billie Jean King Cup, where she played a pivotal role in securing Canada’s title last year by triumphing over Spain’s Rebeka Masarova, Poland’s Magdalena Frech, and Italy’s Martina Trevisan.

Currently ranked No. 2 in the world, Canada will battle in Group A facing off against No. 13 Romania and No. 14 Japan at the renowned Ariake Coliseum.

The group champion will earn a coveted spot in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China, in November.
