“Darren has contributed immensely to my development as a player,” Sinner expressed. “There’s still a year left, and I prefer not to dwell on his retirement just yet. I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to be his final player on tour. He’s an exceptional coach and an even better person, not just for me but for all the athletes he has mentored throughout his career.”

“It’s a privilege to work with him. My hope is that we can achieve great things this season together. However, I like to keep an open mind about the future. He has a wonderful family and many exciting opportunities awaiting him beyond the world of tennis. So, let’s see where this year takes us.”

Darren Cahill is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in tennis history. He has guided legends like Lleyton Hewitt, Andre Agassi, and Simona Halep to Grand Slam triumphs, and now he plays a pivotal role in Sinner’s journey. Inspired by his father, John, an iconic Aussie rules football coach, Cahill’s expertise shines through in his coaching methods.

At 59, Cahill, a former World No.22, has successfully propelled Sinner to the World No.1 ranking along with two major titles in 2024. He works alongside Italian Simone Vagnozzi as part of Sinner’s coaching team.
