Rafael Jodar will be joining his compatriot Martin Landaluce at the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF this December, marking the completion of the 20-and-under event lineup.
Having served as a hitting partner in Jeddah last year, the 19-year-old is set to compete this season after a remarkable turnaround. Currently ranked No. 167 in the PIF ATP Rankings, Jodar’s late-season momentum has earned him a coveted spot in Jeddah.

Once ranked outside the Top 900 in March, Jodar experienced a stunning season, claiming three ATP Challenger Tour titles between August and November. His journey began with a victory in Greece, followed by two triumphant performances in the United States. Now, he stands as the third Spanish teenager to achieve at least three Challenger titles, joining the ranks of 24-time tour-level champion Carlos Alcaraz and former No. 9 Nicolas Almagro.
Beginning his tennis odyssey at the age of six, Jodar has shared his journey with close friend and fellow rising star, Landaluce. Hailing from Madrid, both have trained at the esteemed Club de Tenis Chamartin. Off the court, Jodar proudly supports Real Madrid.
The 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF is scheduled to unfold from December 17-21 in Jeddah, featuring talented competitors like Jakub Mensik, Learner Tien, Alexander Blockx, Dino Prizmic, Martin Landaluce, Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, Nishesh Basavareddy, and of course, Jodar himself. Notable former champions include Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
