After a 15-month hiatus from professional tennis, former World No. 2 and two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is gearing up for her much-anticipated return.
The 34-year-old star, who welcomed her son Petr in July 2024, will make her comeback later this month in Austin. Following that, she’ll take her talents to the prestigious tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami in March.
“It’s been a long 15 months away from the sport and embracing motherhood, but I’m thrilled to announce my return to competitive tennis,” Kvitova expressed. “I’ve missed the game and the thrill of competition so much. I’m aiming to play in Austin this month, followed by Indian Wells and Miami. I can’t wait to reconnect with my amazing fans around the globe. Thank you all for your unwavering support. This next chapter will be an exciting journey, and I’m eager to dive back in!”

The accomplished athlete, who holds an impressive 31 WTA titles, last graced the courts in October 2023, where she was ranked 14th in the world.
