MEDVEDEV FALLS OUT OF TOP 10
A challenging season persists for Medvedev. After his loss to Jaume Munar, he stands at 12-7 for the season and is now ranked outside the ATP’s top 10 for the first time in over two years. Let’s see how he performs on clay!
Alex de Minaur has re-entered the Top 10, securing the 10th spot, while Stefanos Tsitsipas, the only player with a one-handed backhand in this elite group, rises two places to claim No. 8.
MENSIK ACHIEVES CAREER HIGH
Making waves in Miami, 19-year-old Czech Jakub Mensik soars up the rankings by an impressive 30 spots to reach a career-best No. 24. Mensik, who will turn 20 on September 1st, is the only teenager within the Top 50.
He triumphed over Novak Djokovic in the finals at Hard Rock Stadium with a score of 7-6(4), 7-6(4).
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Joao Fonseca, who made it to the third round in Miami, is also closing in on the Top 50 with a new record ranking of No. 59.
Belgium’s Zizou Bergs makes his own debut in the Top 50, moving up one spot to No. 50.
FILS BREAKS INTO TOP 15
Remarkable performances at both Indian Wells and Miami have catapulted Frenchman Arthur Fils to a new career-high ranking of No. 15. This 20-year-old reached the quarterfinals in both tournaments.
