Mboko Advances While Auger-Aliassime Exits at Miami Open

In a thrilling fourth-round showdown at the Miami Open, Canada’s Victoria Mboko triumphed over Russia’s Mirra Andreeva with a scoreline of 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-0.

The 10th seed, Mboko, showcased her serve with six aces but also recorded seven double faults. Although she converted only one of her six break-point opportunities, her overall performance was impressive.

During the two-hour and 17-minute encounter, the 19-year-old dominated on her first serve, winning an impressive 77.8% of those points.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Andreeva, the eighth seed, also had a solid game, hitting six aces against two double faults and managing to convert one break out of four opportunities. She won 66.7% of her first-serve points.

In the men’s singles, Montreal’s Félix Auger-Aliassime faced a tough exit in the third round, falling to France’s Terence Atmane with scores of 6-3, 1-6, 6-3.

The seventh-seeded Auger-Aliassime delivered an impressive 11 aces and recorded 26 winners, yet he could not maintain momentum after Atmane broke the tie with three consecutive games in the final set, clinching victory shortly after.
