Martin Landaluce has officially qualified for the prestigious Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF, a remarkable achievement one year after being an alternate in the 20-and-under event.
He kicked off his season on a high note by successfully qualifying for the Australian Open. After a solid six months, Landaluce clinched a main-draw victory at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati. His triumph continued with a stellar performance on the ATP Challenger Tour, where the 19-year-old celebrated his second title at this level in Orleans.

Working closely with coaches Oscar Burrieza and Esteban Carril, Landaluce’s journey with Burrieza began at just 14, distinguishing him with not only his impressive backhand and court strategy but also an extraordinary mental resilience.
“His mental balance is truly remarkable,” Burrieza shared with ATPTour.com. “The psychological demands of tennis can be brutal; many face defeat weekly. Yet, Martin has this unique ability to reset and approach each day anew, whether he’s playing at the Madrid Open or in a Futures match. His consistent mindset is a rare gem.”
Off the court, the former US Open Boys’ singles champion finds joy in playing guitar and delving into the mental aspects of the game.
“Engaging in various activities outside of tennis, like reading and meditation, helps me maintain focus on the court,” Landaluce explained to ATPTour.com in August.
“I prioritize discipline over motivation. Many believe motivation should come first, but in my experience, discipline fosters motivation. Once you start working on something and see improvement, enjoyment follows, igniting true motivation.”
The 2025 Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF is set to unfold from December 17-21. Previous champions include rising stars Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. This year, Jakub Mensik, Learner Tien, Alexander Blockx, and Dino Prizmic will also vie for the title.
