Lorenzo Musetti has officially announced his withdrawal from the Miami Open presented by Itau due to a right arm injury.

In his Instagram Stories, Musetti stated, “Hello everyone, I regret to share that I must withdraw from the @miamiopen. I truly enjoy competing here, but I need some time to ensure I’m fully fit on the court. Thank you for your understanding, and I can’t wait to see all of you during the upcoming clay season!”

This marks Musetti’s return to the Tour after a tough exit in Indian Wells earlier this month, following his retirement in the Australian Open quarter-finals against Novak Djokovic when he was leading by two sets.

The 24-year-old, seeded fourth in Miami, faced a disappointing first-round loss at Indian Wells. He had high hopes for the prestigious ATP Masters 1000 event in Florida, where he previously reached the fourth round in both 2024 and 2025. His focus will now shift to the European clay season.

In 2025, Musetti made a significant impact on clay, reaching the finals in Monte-Carlo and the semi-finals at both Roland Garros and the events in Madrid and Rome.
