Another Canadian player is out of the race at the Canadian Open.

With Fernandez’s exit, only Felix Auger-Aliassime and Victoria Mboko remain in the singles draw for Canada at this prestigious 1,000-level tournament.
Mboko is set to compete against her doubles partner, Russia’s Mirra Andreeva, in a Round of 16 showdown on Monday.
Meanwhile, Montreal’s Felix Auger-Aliassime will take on France’s Terence Atmane in a Round of 32 match in the men’s singles division on Monday.
Later that day, Mboko and Andreeva are scheduled to challenge Australia’s Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs from the Netherlands in the Round of 32 for women’s doubles.
