This remarkable event marks the first return of women’s professional tennis to the legendary London venue in over half a century. The last female Tour-level final at Queen’s Club was held in 1973, where Olga Morozova triumphed over Evonne Goolagong with a score of 6-2, 6-3.
Two-time Eastbourne champion Keys is also a past winner of the Birmingham title and is excited about the upcoming matches in London ahead of Wimbledon.
“I’m eagerly anticipating the HSBC Championships,” Keys shared. “Competing there for the first time and experiencing the atmosphere at The Queen’s Club is incredibly special to me. The grass court season holds some of my fondest memories, especially my triumphs in Birmingham and Eastbourne.”
2024 Nottingham champion Boulter is renowned for her dominant play on home turf. The HSBC Championships are a prestigious 500-level tournament, ranking just below Wimbledon, located just a stone’s throw away at SW19.
“Growing up, I watched this tournament every year, so having the opportunity to compete in such a remarkable and iconic event to kick off the grass court season is a true honor,” Boulter remarked. “This tournament elevates the British grass court swing significantly, and lifting that trophy as a British player would fulfill a dream of mine. I’m committed to making that happen—let’s create more memorable moments this summer!”

Raducanu, whose participation is supported by tournament title sponsor HSBC, is another highlight.
WTA HSBC Championships Tournament Director Laura Robson also confirmed that former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka and Daria Kasatkina will join the exciting lineup for the 2025 event.
“I’m thrilled to announce that Katie, Emma, Madison, and Naomi will headline the HSBC Championships in June,” Robson expressed. “Fans can expect to see some of the finest female athletes in the world competing. With three Grand Slam champions and the British number one involved, it’s poised to be a spectacular reintroduction of women’s tennis to The Queen’s Club.”
