As Jack Draper gears up for his return to the ATP Tour in 2026, exciting changes are afoot in his camp.

The 23-year-old British star, who had to cut his season short due to a left arm injury following the US Open, has welcomed Jamie Delgado—Andy Murray’s former coach—into his team. This transition comes as he and longtime coach James Trotman part ways, with Trotman opting to prioritize his family life.

All Things Considered

Trotman expressed his feelings in a BBC Sport article, stating, “My relationship with Jack is incredibly strong. We’ve spent more time together than anyone else the past four years, and I will continue to support him from the sidelines.”

Trotman was instrumental in guiding Draper to his first ATP Masters 1000 title at Indian Wells in March, leading the British No. 1 to achieve a personal best PIF ATP Ranking of No. 4 in June. This season, he boasts an impressive 30-9 record, as reported by the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. Together, the duo claimed three tour-level titles, including victories in Stuttgart and Vienna last year.

“I take immense pride in the work we’ve accomplished together,” Trotman reflected. “Jack’s current success is a combined effort from everyone who has been part of his journey, including his family.”

Delgado, who recently wrapped up a three-year partnership with Grigor Dimitrov, has also coached Gilles Muller along with his tenure with Murray from 2016 to 2021, bringing a wealth of experience to Draper’s team.
