If Jannik Sinner clinches victory at the BNP Paribas Open this week, he’ll not only take home the coveted trophy but also carve a niche in tennis history.

Currently ranked No. 2 in the PIF ATP Rankings, Sinner has already achieved five out of six hard-court ATP Masters 1000 titles. The lone title evading him is at Indian Wells, where he reached the semi-finals in both 2023 and 2024. However, this year, Sinner appears set to advance even further, having breezed through to the quarter-finals without dropping a single set.

With a trophy win, Sinner would join legends Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer as the only males to claim all six hard-court Masters 1000 titles.

Djokovic, renowned for winning each event at least twice, shares the record of five Indian Wells titles with Federer, who also achieved the complete set during his illustrious career and holds a record seven titles at the Cincinnati Masters.

Sinner first captured a Masters 1000 title in Canada back in 2023, followed by victories in Miami, Cincinnati, and Shanghai in 2024. Last season, he secured the title in Paris. Next up, he will take on Learner Tien in the quarter-finals in California.
