Back in August, Felix Auger-Aliassime was ranked No. 27 in the PIF ATP Rankings. Fast forward three months, and he’s concluded his season nestled in the Top 5 after a stellar run to the semi-finals at the Nitto ATP Finals.
The 25-year-old showcased an electrifying end to the year, achieving a career-high ranking and cementing his position as a formidable contender at the year-end championship in Turin.
“I feel like I’m back where I belong, where I can maintain consistent performances,” Auger-Aliassime expressed after his match against Carlos Alcaraz. “I’m thrilled to be part of this tournament and to have had a strong finish to the season…”
“This year has been a significant journey for me. Since childhood, my dream has been to clinch Grand Slam titles and reach the No. 1 spot in the world. I’ve faced challenges along the way, but I’ve always held onto that belief. I’m still committed to this vision. It’s about strategizing my training to bring about the improvements needed for future success.”

Auger-Aliassime had a remarkable season, reaching the semi-finals at the US Open and a quarter-final spot in Shanghai. He celebrated a title win in Brussels and made it to the final in Paris, before securing round-robin victories at the Nitto ATP Finals against both Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev.
However, the World No. 1, Alcaraz, proved to be a hurdle too high, winning decisively with a score of 6-2, 6-4, marking their series at 5-3 in Alcaraz’s favor.
“His serve was exceptional, and he executed it flawlessly,” Auger-Aliassime remarked about the Spanish player. “His overall game is impressive; he can change the pace with either shot. He’s adept at applying pressure in unique ways. Competing against him is a challenge given his high-speed gameplay.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Auger-Aliassime will have the unwavering support of his wife, Nina, whom he married in September. While he appreciates the encouragement off the court, he is eager to elevate his game on it.
“There’s a wealth of talent out there. I can’t just focus on a couple of players,” he said, with reference to Alcaraz and Sinner as the next season approaches. “The competition is tougher each year, and anything can happen.”
“When I face these guys right now, it’s clear—they’re operating at a level above the rest. I’m ready to put in the hard work to close that gap, as always.”
With titles secured in Adelaide, Montpellier, and Brussels, Auger-Aliassime capped the year with an impressive 50-24 record, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. This marks the first time since 2022 that the dynamic 25-year-old surpassed 50 wins in a single season.
