In a surprising turn of events, Ottawa’s Gabriela Dabrowski and her doubles partner Erin Routliffe from New Zealand have decided to part ways as a team.

Dabrowski took to social media on Wednesday to share the news with her fans.

Though Routliffe competes under New Zealand’s banner, she also possesses Canadian citizenship and has a history of representing Canada.

During their collaboration, the duo achieved remarkable success, clinching three doubles titles in 2025, with victories in Stuttgart, Cincinnati, and the U.S. Open.

As the season drew to a close, Dabrowski and Routliffe began exploring different partnerships but came together once more for the WTA Finals.

The 33-year-old Dabrowski expressed her sentiments on Instagram, stating, “Although our professional journey has come to a close, our friendship remains strong.”
